Salt Lake Community College offers the only culinary arts program in the state of Utah accredited by the American Culinary Federation.

Programs that earn their approval "distinguish themselves from hundreds of other post-secondary culinary programs in the nation and abroad..."

• Located at the Miller Campus, the SLCC Culinary Institute is a beautiful free-standing facility which has gas & electric kitchens, multiple classrooms, a computer lab, demonstration kitchen and dining room.
• You will receive both classroom education and practice with on-the-job training.
• Faculty is certified and has numerous years of experience in the culinary field.
• Affordable tuition.
• Various forms of financial aid are offered such as Pell grants, scholarships and loans.
• Credits are transferable to four year institutions.
• Upon graduation from the SLCC Culinary Institute, you will receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree and also become an ACF member (eligible for free ACF certification as a Certified Culinarian or a Certified Pastry Culinarian).
• Longstanding partner with SkillsUSA - our next competition will be held at SLCC on March 25-26, 2010.
• Longstanding partner with ProStart and the Utah Restaurant Association
• Recommended by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundations's ManageFirst Program.
• This program prepares students for careers in culinary arts and fulfills the requirements for the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and American Culinary Federation (ACF) certifications.

Culinary Institute A.A.S. Degree:
67 credit hours + 2,000 paid intern hours = 5 Semesters (2 years)

Regular tuition, books + hand tools and uniform = $9,500 - approximate total cost for students.
Tuition and fees are based on the SLCC resident/non-resident tuition schedule.
