Position Title:  Lab Technician

Special Qualifications:  
a. Ability to function INDEPENDENTLY as a laboratory technician in a biotechnology lab. b. Ability to read and understand peer reviewed scientific literature c. Ability to assist supervisors in preparing by preparing reagents, buffers, etc. d. Ability to prepare reports of complex experimental outcomes and offer interpretations of data e. Ability to troubleshoot laboratory methods and outcomes f. Computer proficiency is not required but advantageous. Advanced Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel experience is preferred for data processing and report writing functions

Duties:  
Assist lab personnel in conducting laboratory research as assigned by the director. This employee will serve as a technical assistant that will make it possible to achieve research project goals within the InnovaBio program. The outcome is expected to be an accelerated rate of successful projects to satisfy both students and client companies. Prepare reports. it will be necessary for this person to help prepare reports of experimental outcomes that can be delivered in a timely manner. The Technician will need to process raw data and assemble charts, graphs, or other acceptable means of conveying experimental outcomes and make preliminary judgments regarding the conclusions and possible extensions to the work.
